Student-Athlete Support
The NFHF was founded to provide resources for student-athletes, who are seeking or who have reached a high level of academic and athletic standard. This Special Student Support Program (SSSP) will fund opportunities for accomplished student athletes whose struggles often keep them on the academic sidelines. Through our Partners, the SSSP awards will offer rich opportunities to accelerate and nurture their development.
The NFHF will award grants in 2024 to help build the academic capacity and fiscal stability of middle and high school students. These student athletes will be selected from institutions and/or organizations that enroll primarily minority and financially disadvantaged students. This minority population will be strengthened by the SSSP. It’s anticipated that their individual success will benefit the cultural and economic forces that fuel our national and local communities.
